Job Opening: PHP Developer

We are a small, intown web development company seeking a PHP/MySQL programmer. Our office is fun and informal. We're located about a half-mile from Little Five Points. This is not a big office, so we don't hold a lot of meetings and require a lot of paperwork. On a daily basis, you will spend almost all of your time designing and building great sites and applications for our clients.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ Years of LAMP development experience
  • PHP frameworks experience
  • Readable, well written code for a collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of MySQL and Database design
  • JavaScript / Ajax experience
  • Standards-compliant XHTML/CSS

Other skills that would be helpful, but are not required:

  • Cake PHP experience
  • jQuery experience
  • git experience
  • Agile Development experience
  • Basic knowledge of SEO practices
  • Flash/Actionscript
  • Pair programming

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have all of the required skills listed above.
  • Enjoy a fast-paced, informal work environment.
  • Be a very hard worker.
  • Be honest.
  • Report to work on time.

You would start working for us 40 hours per week on a contract basis. As long as all goes well, we will offer you a full-time position. We offer benefits, such as health insurance, paid vacation and a retirement plan.

Potential candidates will be interviewed and given a problem solving test and code test. Candidates will be asked to present sample code from previous projects.
